Oh my gosh! Ten years ago today Netscape went public. What a cool anniversary! With the wide availability of the Netscape browser, the Web was born exactly ten years ago. We’ve come a long way in ten years, but imagine what’s coming in the next ten.
Also on August 9, 1995 the company that became NewsEdge, called Desktop Data, also went public. I worked at Desktop Data / NewsEdge for seven years and was vice president of marketing when we sold the NewsEdge business to Thomson in 2002.
