Advisor and Investor: I serve as an advisor and investor in emerging companies that are transforming their industries by delivering disruptive products and services. I've been working with HubSpot (NYSE: HUBS), since 2007 when the company had a handful of customers and fewer than 10 employees. I helped the HubSpot team with rapid sales and marketing strategies that have grown the company to more than 167,000 customers in 120 countries and $1.7 billion in revenue in 2022. In addition to HubSpot, my current portfolio of advisory clients and investments also includes Gigpro, QuotaPath, Lately.ai, Gosite, Kai.ai, Kolkata Chai, Advantage | ForbesBooks, Mynd, Expertfile, CareSpace, Motto Beverage Company, MyTime, Occupier, SlapFive, Turazo, The Rattle, Vengreso, Crisis Ready Institute, and the Marketing Artificial Intelligence Institute.

In past advisory work, I contributed to successful exits of companies as a member of the board of directors of NewsWatch KK (sale to Yahoo Japan) and Kadient (sale to Sant) and served on the board of advisors of Eloqua (IPO followed by a sale to Oracle), GrabCAD (sale to Stratasys) and YayPay (sale to Quadient).

Team Coaching: I coach teams either live and in person in your offices or on a virtual session via videoconference. The in-person session is typically a full day and includes from a handful to a hundred people on your team. The virtual coaching is typically 90 minutes, and either option includes a month of email followup.

One-on-One Coaching: I also offer the opportunity for you to meet with me to discuss whatever is on your mind. Instead of worrying about the future, I help you to position for success. Perhaps we dig into how you can help your community during out challenging times. Or maybe you want to work on your marketing strategy and social media tactics to make a more human connection with your market. We can discuss how to grow fans of your business, ethical approaches to newsjacking, that book you want to write, starting a blog. It’s up to you and I am here to help!

The strategy session is ideal for those who want my advice on a particular marketing challenge. I personally review your challenge prior to our call, and engages with you via telephone or Zoom to discuss your goals in detail. I then offer specific strategy and tactical suggestions. This session also includes one month of email or social network interaction after the call.
