Because my books cover the new rules of reaching buyers directly in today’s real-time world, many people assume that I am against any and all traditional sales and marketing tools and techniques.
That’s not the case at all. I don’t think it is an either / or proposition. If something is working for you, by all means keep going!
But the reality is most people get stuck doing the same things again and again even when they stop being effective.
Are you achieving your goals?
Consider the marketing and sales strategies you’re using. Are they effective?
Is the time and money you spend to exhibit at a bunch of trade shows producing the results they once were?
How about cold calling? Is dialing for dollars still generating sales for your business?
Are the agencies you have on retainer worth the investment?
What about that paid advertising you've spent money on year in and year out?
If these and other more traditional approaches are working, that’s great. Keep going! But if not, you need to change. And that’s difficult.
