AI Book Trailer for Marketing Lessons from the Grateful Dead

Today is the publication date for the paperback edition of Marketing Lessons from the Grateful Dead! Books are now shipping from retailers like Amazon. I’m excited for the new, revised and updated edition!

My co-author Brian Halligan and I wanted to make a book trailer to showcase the ideas in the new edition.

The Grateful Dead always embraced technical innovation. In that spirit, we worked with an AI filmmaker to create a trippy, period piece and we think it came out great! What do you think?

We will be using this trailer on the various retailer sites plus our own websites and social media accounts. We have a vertical version for Instagram and other socials that optimize for vertical.

Working with Brian on this project has been super fun. Starting 16 years ago when we hosted a Webinar sponsored by HubSpot (which was the best attended Webinar that HubSpot had up to then), we’ve dug in deep into our research on how the Grateful Dead built fans. The first edition of Marketing Lessons from the Grateful Dead was published in 2010. We are excited for the new, revised and updated edition out today.

The epic photos in the book are by Jay Blakesberg, who has been shooting the Grateful Dead since 1978. Thank you Jay. 

Our friend Bill Walton, the NBA Basketball Hall-of-Famer wrote the fabulous foreword to the book. Sadly, Bill passed away last year. I know he would have loved the new edition.
